How can ChatGPT technology be used beyond text generation?

ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, has taken the world by storm with its seemingly unlimited capabilities as a poet, besserwisser, ghostwriter - or confident bullshitter. Now we all wonder: How can we best use this technology? Are there things to look out for?

In this presentation we are first going to explore the concepts behind the GPT technology and figure out what has made it so successful. Next we are going to discuss how the GPT models can be used in practice, where topic classification and sentiment analysis of political tweets will be used as a case study.

**This event will be live-streamed on YouTube, so anyone can watch it here:

Kerstin Johnsson - has worked with deep learning software development for many years, for example with AI-assisted prostate cancer assessments and fingerprint authentication. She is a consultant at Softhouse Consulting, where she also develops their Applied AI capabilities.

Olof Bengtsson - has worked with natural language processing and made implementations using the GPT-3 model for topic classification in Swedish-speaking podcasts. He is a consultant at Softhouse since last year where he works with AI solutions.

Oresti Theodoridis - has worked with statistics, edge AI, also supervising Softhouse AI summer work interns 2022 - in developing Politweet, a tool that uses large language models for qualitative analysis of the tweets of Swedish politicians. He is a consultant at Softhouse working with AI programming.

Additional supporting speakers - Softhouse summer interns from LTH: Marcus Ascard, Mosa Hosseini and Nils Ekstrand.
