Data Alliance first event
1 ML OPS: Erik Munkby
Distribute ML Models with ease utilizing Fast API. An attempt to reduce the distance from model building to deployed ML product.
2 COWAIT: Johan Henriksson
Cowait is an attempt to create a novel approach for writing Kubernetes batch jobs in Python. The talk will include a quick overview of what it is, the rationale behind it and what we learned along the way.
3 Domain Driven Design + Data -> Insights?: Johnny Dang
Data is seldom generated in a way that caters to conducive data analysis. Domain Driven Design may change this although it comes with its own costs.
About Data Alliance
We believe that all views are equally important in our world, regardless if you’re a data engineer working your way through an obscure data model, a software engineer helping your fellow colleague understand the data generated from your application, or a product owner viewing product metrics. We therefore want to gather everyone into the Data Alliance to share their past and current struggles and/or solutions, no matter if they were successful or not. These experiences will spark illuminating discussions for everyone involved, especially the presenter.
Format:
A few presentations à 10-20 min and an open discussion with the audience after each one. There will be time for food and mingle somewhere in the middle of the event.

Erik Munkby - is a passionate, down to earth developer always chasing real results. Embodying the t-shape he works across Cloud, Data Science and Machine Learning without a sweat. A calm tutor and a life long learner, ask him a question and you might have a friend for life.
Johan Henriksson - Discovering an early interest in programming, Johan has accumulated a wide range of experience designing software. Recently, as a partner at Backtick Technologies, an AI-specialized consultancy company, the focus has been on ML operations and cloud infrastructure.
Johnny Dang - always has multiple lines of thought he works on. They can range from trying to understand the mathematics behind a statistical tool, to setting up new scenes on an improv stage or solving a bouldering problem. And he’s not shy to share his thoughts with anyone willing to listen.
